The Majapahit Empire, established in 1293 CE, was a significant Hindu-Buddhist power in Southeast Asia. Known for its cultural and artistic achievements, Majapahit influenced much of present-day Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Its religious and artistic life flourished with myths centered around powerful deities and mythical creatures.One of the key mythical beings in Majapahit mythology was the Garuda, a bird-like creature central to both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. The Garuda remains a symbol of power and protection in Indonesia to this day.
